'Pichaikkaran' Director Sasi will next team up with Actor-producer Udhayanidhi Stalin

"Director Sasi has been finalised to direct Udhayanidhi in a new project, which will be bankrolled by Thenandal Films. The project will only go on the floors after Udhay completes working on his film with director Suseenthiran,"

According to the source, the directorial opportunity was first offered to young film-maker Ashwin Saravanan of Maya fame. "Ashwin was approached by producer Murali with the offer. However, the former felt he doesn't have a suitable script for Udhay," the source added. Udhayanidhi currently has two Tamil projects, including Manithan, a Tamil remake of Jolly LLB under his belt. Manithan is being directed by Ahmed of Endrendrum Punnagai fame. He will also be seen in an untitled Suseenthiran project.
