Pa.Ranjith Is a Man Under Tremendous Pressure As He Awaits With Bated Breath

Though the Madras film-maker is excited about the film, deep inside, he knows that casting a superstar in a movie like Kabali might prove costly as the fans might not be happy seeing a subdued Rajinikanth on screen.
Perhaps, that may have been the reason behind producer 'Kalaipuli' S Thanu and Soundarya R Ashwin's dislike towards the climax of the much awaited flick. In his latest interview to IndiaGlitz, Ranjith has revealed that both the producer and Soundarya, who had introduced him to her father, requested him to change the climax, after watching the movie.

"Thanu sir and Soundarya ma'am asked me to edit out the last scene as they wanted the film to end on a happy and jolly note," Ranjith said. However, it was Rajinikanth's timely intervention that saved Ranjith from a sticky situation as the young director wanted to retain that particular climax portion.

"Rajini sir called me after 3 days and asked me not to change anything as he felt it was an apt climax for the film," the Attakathi director said. Ranjith went on to say that the Lingaa actor was teary-eyed after watching the movie.

"He told me that 'Kabali' is a good film sans the usual Rajinikanth elements. He is curious to know how his fans will react to this particular movie." According to Ranjith, the fact that Kabali does not have any punch dialogues and the clichéd Rajinism, will provide a new experience to fans as well as general moviegoers.
